Agios Georgios is a small town built at the foot of Mount Helicon southeast of Livadeia. It was developed at the end of the 18th century when residents of Livadeia settled in the area due to a plague epidemic that had broken out in the Boeotian town. The residents are mainly engaged in agriculture. The Music School of Livadeia is also located here.
