A beautiful, renovated settlement, declared as traditional since 1986, in the slopes of lower Mount Olympus with an amazing view to the Thermaic Gulf and the Coasts of Pieria.

It was established in the end of the 14^th century, and it is one of the most exceptional examples of traditional Macedonian architecture in Northern Greece.

Visitors admire the stone houses with the red tiled roofs, the narrow streets made of stone, the square with the centenarian plane trees, the restored church of Saint Panteleimon standing prominently in the center of the settlement.

Visitors can stay in traditional guesthouses, enjoy local food and the typical delicacies of the area in the traditional restaurants.

The settlement is surrounded by a rich forest of chestnut trees, beech trees and arbutus, ideal for trekkers, mountain-biking, 4x4 and Parapente. The area also houses the Center for Environmental Education.

It can be easily accessed by taking the E75 National Highway (Leptokarya junction).

It is 6km away from the sea and 43.7km away from Katerini.
