Elatochori is a fairly new settlement created by the residents of Old Elatochori (Skouterna), located before the new settlement.

It is a beautiful mountain resort 800m. above sea level on the Pierian Mountains with advanced tourist facilities, traditional restaurants, entertainment areas and traditional guest houses.

8km. away from the settlement lies the Elatochori Ski Resort, a main tourist attraction of the area.

You can visit the valuable folklore collection at the Folklore Museum of Elatochori.

The settlement of Old Elatochori is also worth visiting with a great number of vacation houses and Saint Nikolaus church with icons, murals and a wood-carved altarpiece dated to the 18^th century, an important monument of the area.
