A beautiful Church, unique of its kind in Greece, was designed by Greek refugees from Pontos in 1923, believers of the evangelical dogma. At the heart of the neighbourhood lies the impressive Evangelical Church, built in 1925, which was restored in 1931 following the 1930 fire by arsonists, religious fanatics.
On the same street owned by the Greek Evangelical Church of Katerini, lies the Old People’s Home “Kalos Samareitis” which initially operated as an orphanage from the beginning of the 1950s to the beginning of the 1980s. During the same period, the School Building (Scholiko Ktirio, Sunday School) started operating. The buildings houses the Church’s offices to this day. Between the Church and the Old People’s home lies the “park of the Evangelicals”. The buildings are uniquely designed with the town planning divided into blocks and displaying impressive houses, the most expensive in the city.
